Description
A Ford battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It is also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its primary goal is to start the Ford engine.
Electricity for the auto is provided by the alternator once the engine is operating.
Commonly, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to discharge a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, plus the lifespan of the Ford battery can be reduced by a full discharge.
